Chapter 3 第3章 (v) VC Collaborating on Intellectual Property Acceleration Program for Startups (VC-IPAS)*13 [Figure 2-3-6] The JPO dispatches IP experts, such as patent attorneys, to venture capital (VC) firms, accelerator firms, and other supporters, and through such supporters, assists the development of startup IP strategies, etc. In addition, through providing IP services, VC-IPAS helps supporters gain insights on handling IP in startup activities and enhance their IP service management capabilities. In FY2025, the JPO dispatched IP experts to 21 VC firms and 4 accelerator firms.
